ASP Preparation Workshop
 

The Bayou Chapter will be holding an ASP Preparation Workshop on May 11 - 13, 2010. This workshop will be conducted at Falck Alford in Houma, LA, and will be taught by Langlois, Weigand & Associates, Inc. This is a three-day review course for those preparing for the Safety Fundamentals Examination, leading to the designation of Associate Safety Professional (ASP). To sign-up yourself for the workshop, complete the enrollment form below. The maximum enrollment is 25 people, so hurry and sign-up TODAY!

 

Note: This workshop is open to anyone, however current ASSE members will receive discounted rates. In order to receive the ASSE member discounts, you must be able to provide your membership number. (See enrollment form below)

ASSE reserves the right to cancel any workshop or seminar two weeks prior to presentation. Registrants canceling within 30 days of the program will be refunded tuition less $100 fee. Registrants who do not cancel and do not attend the workshop will not have tuition refunded. A $25 processing fee will be charged for substitutions. ASSE reserves the right to substitute faculty should unforeseen events occur.

Professional certification is a milestone event in a safety professional’s career. Achieving certification demonstrates that the safety professional has reached a higher level of professionalism as recognized by employers and
peers. The ASP is a temporary designation awarded after passing the ASP examination and is a prerequisite to taking the CSP examiniation. The Certification Preparation Workshop is the best opportunity to pass your certification examination.

Day 1

A.M. – Introduction and Review of Fundamentals (Calculator, Algebra, and Trigonometry)

P.M. – Review of Fundamentals - Physics, Probability, and Statistics

 

Day 2

A.M. – Recognizing Safety, Health, and Environmental Hazards

P.M. – Measuring, Evaluating, and Controlling Safety, Health, and Environmental Hazards

 

Day 3

A.M. – Safety, Health, and Environmental Training and Management

P.M. – Business Principles, Practices, and Metrics in Safety, Health and Environmental Practice

 

 

Calculator required: TI-30X IIS or equivalent
