President’s Corner, June 30, 2009
Since so many of us are tied to the oil & gas drilling industry, we now have a link to the Baker Hughes Rig Count page on our Bayou Chapter web site. When rigs are active they consume our products and services, and increases employment opportunities in our local area. An active rig count also is a leading indicator of demand for products used in drilling, completing, producing and processing hydrocarbons. As Managers and Safety Leaders, this information is valuable in the planning & budgeting process. The link will be located above the stock ticker & just below our valued sponsors. We have also added a heat index chart links.
And remember, to show appreciation for active membership, all active Bayou Chapter Members (members that attend 50% or more of chapter meetings during the 2009-2010 year & RSVP) eat crawfish free at the May 2010 crawfish boil. Non-Active Members, Guest, and Student Members will still need to purchase a $20 advanced ticket.
Have a great Summer!
